Jamie Lynn Spears is angry with Star magazine for claiming she had liposuction while pregnant. According to TMZ, she’s thinking about suing:

Sources tell TMZ Jamie Lynn Spears is swelling up with anger over one gossip mag’s claims she had lipo while pregnant — so much so that she may take legal action. We’re told the story is “100% NOT true” — that Jamie Lynn has never had lipo and would “never in her life” do anything like it. Calls to Jamie Lynn’s publicist have not been returned. (Source)

Wow, it’s not often that a piece of news shocks me, but I’m legitimately stunned right now. In my wildest dreams, I never saw this coming. Jamie Lynn Spears still has a publicist. Unbelievable.

A-Rod’s getting a little on the side

They haven’t even gone public with their relationship, yet Alex Rodriguez is already cheating on Madonna. A witness at Miami’s LIV nightclub last Friday night claims Rodriguez was flirting with a number of women and even got one’s number. In Touch Weekly adds:

Weeks earlier, when Madonna was miles away on tour, A-Rod spent days flirting with Wilhelmina model Melissa Britos, whom he’d met at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach on November 14. “He became obsessed with her,” Melissa’s pal reveals. “He sent her at least a dozen text messages, asking her to spend time with him.” Even though the model claims that she and A-Rod are just friends, a few days later, the baseball player was seen dropping Melissa off at her hotel, the Gansevoort, at 7 a.m. She was wearing the same clothes she had on the night before.

It’s sad to hear that A-Rod moved on to another woman. I thought he and Madonna would be the perfect match since they both had so much in common: their use of growth hormones, their desire to perform in front of large crowds, and their affinity for hair products. Hopefully A-Rod’s new fling will be a better fit than Madonna was . . . meaning he won’t be able to fit his entire head inside of this one.

The Body Shop burns down

From the Los Angeles Times:

A fire broke out early this morning at the Body Shop, a landmark strip club in West Hollywood. The Los Angeles County Fire Department said the fire was reported at 6:46 a.m. at the club at 8250 Sunset Boulevard.

About 40 firefighters were battling the blaze, said Art Marrujo, a dispatch supervisor with Los Angeles County Fire. Television helicopters showed flames flaring through the roof. Firefighters said they didn’t know what caused the fire.

“It’s too early in the investigation to know,” Marrujo said. (Source)

Daryl Hannah and Captain Paul Watson

Daryl Hannah is joining militant conservation group Sea Shepherd in their campaign to stop Japan’s annual whale hunt in the Antarctic Ocean (the same group that’s currently being featured on the Animal Planet show Whale Wars). Under the guise of “scientific research,” the Japanese are allowed to harvest a quota of whales each year. At a press conference yesterday in Brisbane, Australia, Hannah told reporters:

“These guys are the only guys out there actually fighting against illegal hunting. It is surprising and shocking to me that governments are not doing this work — that it is up to individuals and non-government organisations to uphold international law and protect endangered species.” (Source)

After reading this story about Hannah and Sea Shepherd’s noble efforts to protect defenseless whales, I can’t help but think one thing: I need to go to my local black market and pick up some more whale oil. My antique lamps are running dangerously low. I’d hate to be left in the dark again. Two weeks ago, my lamps ran out of oil right around bedtime and I couldn’t find my mink comforter. I had to use my stupid chinchilla blanket. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I was so cold!
