Heath Ledger was broke at the time of his death

Australia’s Daily Telegraph claims that Heath Ledger was worth only $145,000 at the time of his death:

[Heath’s] 2003 will names Ledger’s father, mother and sisters as the only beneficiaries . . . “the total value of their shares of the estate will be $145,000”, with furniture and fixtures worth $20,000, a Toyota Prius worth $25,000 and $100,000 in miscellaneous bank accounts. (Source)

So Heath wasn’t driving a Prius to save the environment, he was doing it to save money on gas? Sounds about right. I bought my Prius for the exact same reason. I couldn’t care less about the environment, I just hate $4 gas. Last week I used my Prius to help clean out my garage. You’d be surprised at how many cans of paint thinner you can fit in the trunk. Plus the easy lift hatch makes for more convenient dumping at the local river. Thanks Toyota!
