Hollywood is abuzz this week about Mariah Carey’s slim new figure . . . well not really but I’m sure Mariah thinks people care. The singer told reporters at Thursday’s “VH1 Save the Music gala” in New York how she shed the weight:
“My secret is bleak diets. I still feel like I have a way to go [but] I don’t feel like you have to be a size zero. We should all just embrace who we are physically. I’m not supposed to be a stick figure girl. It’s just not me.” Last year, the singer first confessed her “bleak” diet consisted of “basically soups and fish prepared really blandly.”
And Carey couples the nutrition plan with arguably the most well-traveled trainer in town. “I have a wonderful trainer whose name is Patricia, she lives in St. Barts, poor girl,” she said. “People say, ‘Only you would fly someone from St. Barts to New York to work out.’ ” Carey added, “We do water aerobics mostly.” (Source)
I’ve got news for you: Mariah’s “secret” is a long finger . . . to the back of the throat! Who the hell is she to tell us that we should embrace who we are physically? Isn’t this the same woman that spray paints her abs on? The only thing “bleak” here are the chances she’ll keep this weight off. You heard it here first: 10 years from now she’ll be Aretha Franklin’s clone only fatter . . . like Kirstie Alley.

She looks great in that dress, very grown up (for once!). I don’t care what anyone says about this woman, she has real singing talent and that’s really hard to come by in this day and age. Just like Christina Aguilera, who looks more and more like a damn Oompah Loompah every day, I can’t be mad at her because homegirl can saaang!
Considering she’s getting quite close to 40 years old,she looks fine to me. Knowing she is on the verge of craziness sort of ruins her appeal….but unless you demand a bony broad, she has some nice curves.
Her secret: She actually NOT a hasbeen? HA! Nooooooobody would dare believe that! lol So why hasn’t Carey become the next Paula Abdul by now???? She’s a washed-up, aging singer. She should be a celebrity judge on some Tiny Talent Time talent TV show by now.

I’d spray on her abs too. Her back also. It would be a fine source of protein to accompany her diet.
