Nick & Jessica may reunite
On his recent visit with David Letterman, Nick Lachey said he wished he’d never done the “Newlyweds” reality show because it was a factor in his split with Jessica Simpson. That aside, MTV hopes to lure Lachey and Simpson back to the network to host a new show called…”Ex’s!”
The premise: Celeb couples who’ve split expose their ongoing battles - or happy divorce. MTV sweetened the pot by offering Nick and Jessica part-ownership in the show, and they’re mulling…so stay tuned for more of Ms. Ditz’s “Chicken of the Sea” giggles.
I think Nick’s forgetting that The Newlyweds pretty much made him a star. Just once I want a celebrity to embrace and celebrate their past. For example, I’d love to see Jay Leno deliver his nightly monologue with drugs and worn-out hookers strewn about the Tonight Show set (Leno’s past is one of Hollywood’s better-kept secrets*). And don’t even get me started on Clay Aiken completely shunning his womanizing past. C’mon people, Clay Aiken has to be a Hollywood creation. No one is THAT gay.
