The very-pregnant Nicole Richie has chosen to serve her four-day jail sentence for DUI at the Century Regional Detention Facility (CRDF) in Lynwood, CA. You may recognize the CRDF from its starring role as the place Paris Hilton slept for a few weeks in June. Richie could have served her time at a private jail (movie night!) but chose Lynwood because of the sentence reduction possibilities. Us Magazine says:
Richie could benefit from Lynwood’s overcrowding problem and possibly have her sentence reduced. The former reality star — who recently announced that she’s four months pregnant — could enter Lynwood late in the evening (as Paris did) and get credit for an entire day. There’s also a chance Richie, 25, could be awarded “good time” credit, which would also shorten the sentence. (Source)
For Christ’s sake she was sentenced to four days–half a week. There’s only so much time they can shave off that for overcrowding and good behavior before they just start crediting her days for future crimes. Oy vey, this is already off to a bad start. If Nicole’s stay is anything like Paris’, she’ll be handed a hot towel on the way in and a medal on the way out.
